The Airedale Terrier is dignified, has high energy but is
adaptable to city life if given enough exercise. He is stubborn
and bold and protective of his family. He will need firm and
consistent obedience
training. It is important that all family members establish
leadership over him at an early age.
Physical Features:
His coat is hard and wiry and he has bushy eyebrows and beard.
He is 22-23 inches tall and weighs 45-60 pounds. He needs
brushing twice a week and coat shaping (electric clipping)
approx every 3 months.
Health Issues
He is susceptible to hip dysplasia.
